Innovation & Growth
​
I worked in the field of innovation and growth for governmental organisations like the Province of Fryslân for the sector study Yacht building and the COB/SER on Teleworking. Also very inspiring is my work for companies like Grolsch to facilitate the design for their new brewery and Bolletje for their new biscuit. Currently I am working on projects for the building industry, precision metal and industrial packaging. Every now and then I write scientific articles on the organisation of innovation. My latest is on Innovation Hubs and my biggest hit is on Open Innovation.

Entrepreneurs & Art
​
Early in eighties of the past century my colleague Jaap van Tilburg and I were frontrunners in the field of innovative entrepreneurship. We were the first architects of the eco system of the University Twente with spin offs like Booking and Just Eat/Take Away. Later I took this work to Saxion University of Applied Sciences. I worked there also on a very specific topic “Why do innovative entrepreneurs love Art?”

Books & Courses
​
On the topics of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship I lectured all over the world both in industry as well as in the academic world. Currently I am working on the Minor Connected Creativity of the Delft University of Technology. I wrote 9 books on the topics of Innovation and Creativity. The most recent is a book on creativity in groups. Currently I am working with Katrina Heijne on a new book on individual creativity and its techniques.
